Conceptual Theory.

Conceptual theory is a tool that can be used by everyone interested in developing original thought. The idea of conceptual theory is to deliberately develop innovative new thought. To conceive a need and develop a concept or thought and shape it into a plausible theory.

There are indicators in life that point the way.

They are:

Function & Design: Nature has perfected both function and design and you should use it as an example. Take the example of a mountain side covered in trees, would it be a good example for a photocell? Note a mountain covered in trees uses sunlight in a similar way as a photo cell, but it does not reflect sunlight, nor is it smooth. The reflected light of a photo cell is wasted energy and the photo cell should be more like the mountain side, in such that it should adsorb all the light.  There are endless examples to take from nature.

Provision and Proportion: Once again nature has provided everything we have needed and in the appropriate amount. Whether it is wood, oil, steel, aluminum or cement, we have what we need and that applies to the future. A good example of this was a need as for a better battery. Then, we discovered lithium. If you can find a need, there will be a solution.

Life is a progression: Life is growth upon growth as evolution would suggest. This means that there is no end to what will be needed. There is no end to innovation and discovery. And this means that you should be excited about discovering a new theory because there are thousands, perhaps millions left to be discovered.

1. Developing your vision

Just how much we understand about our lives comes primarily from how much we can see, or experience with our other senses. And both the microscope and the telescope have expanded that vision in a way that has opened our minds to what would be otherwise impossible, such as to see a molecule or to see a star. These things have expanded our understanding of what we know about our environment and our universe. Everyone has benefited from that expanded vision and everyone is capable of seeing for themselves this expanded vision.

So imagine what can be seen if you could expand your vision. To begin with, you would be able to expand your imagination. It’s like looking at a subject in a holistic way, similar to looking at earth from space. When you are on the ground the earth looks flat, but from space it is obvious that it is round. The broader or the further your insight, the more there is to see, and know.

2. Holistic vision

Now take that holistic vision and mix it with an understanding that there are still thousands of ideas and innovations left to be discovered, and you can start to see what is possible.

A classic example of a holistic vision is the example of fuel. When did we start to use it and where did we get it?  This vision everybody has seen or participated in. Our ancestors recognized the usefulness of fire from experiencing nature. We learned to make, control and use fire for warmth and cooking. We started with wood and it set us on a course toward building a space station.

But very quick we realized that wood was not the last fuel, it was the first. Because a wood fire inspired our imagination, we soon needed hotter and hotter fuels. And so it started and we went from wood, to coal, to hydro, to wind, to oil, to gas, to wind again, to solar and to nuclear. What an amazing story of success and a holistic view of fuel.

3. Looking to our future needs

Looking back in time we have a holistic view of what has taken place, but imagine the benefit of turning that vision around and looking forward. Continuing with the idea of fuel, where is the need and availability going to be in the future? Well, a couple of things we know by the example of the progression fuels have taken. The fuel will have to be clean and plentiful if everyone is going to be able to use it. It is going to have to be free of carbon. And we know from history that it will fit the progression that fuels have taken.

To think that we have run out of different types of fuels does not fit the only example of life that we have. Life is a progression and we are far from the end of that progression. We will find a fuel in the future that will satisfy this need.

And if we think far enough into the future, this new fuel will need to be available elsewhere in the solar system. Is it possible and is there such a fuel? Of course there is. This progression we call life is a journey of discovery, one of understanding and profiting from our environment. It is a progression, that from this viewpoint, looks endless. There is no end to what there is remaining to be discovered.

Of course in order for a theory to work it must be plausible. But there are markers in life that point out those “plausibilities”. There are general rules for physics, thermodynamics and base elements. These are generally understood by most graduates and it can be interesting to learn, understand and discover how they govern our world.

4. The structures of physics

Within the parameters of physics and thermodynamics there are many repetitive scales, models and formats. These models and formats help us see past what it is we know today. A good example of this is seen in our concept of the universe. Today we are able to see something as small as a quark and as large as the visible universe and in the width of that vision we can see the same structural format from the smallest to the largest objects. This gives us the understanding that, what we can not see will be structured the same way.

All structures, whether a molecule or a galaxy behave according to the laws of physics. This makes our world dependable and predictable.

To us they appear to be stable because we see such a small microcosm of time. But there is a variant in the time warp structure of space that is yet to be figured out. This variant is generated by the gravitational pull of the singularity and it affects all aspects of existence including, matter, energy, light and their product, time.

5. You have a theory

Imagine taking the smallest of thoughts and expanding on it, working it and shaping it until you have a plausible working theory. You have checked all the parameters of physics and thermodynamics and you still can’t find the flaw in your theory. You see there is energy there, or you see something nobody else has seen. This is conceptual theory.

Conceptual theory is innovative thought, that has never before been thought of by anyone before you. It is the conception of new thoughts. Although, this somewhat simple task of coming up with new thoughts is a lot harder than it first seems. In fact, new thoughts are so rare that we often pay great amounts of money for them. Like a new piece of music, sculpture or a new invention. All of these new thoughts command higher respect and monetary reward.

Innovation drives our future but all to often it is controlled by too few people who charge too much for access to it. The concept behind conceptual theory is to crack open the future, and to see what humanity needs next or how to anticipate humanity’s shifting social trends.

6. The future

The Future holds many surprises, from abundant and equitable fuel, to housing everyone around the world and saving our environment. But conceptual theory can be used against others as well. It is the hope for our planet that no one will seek to control one of these conceptual theories and thereby use them for the submission of others.

After practicing this form of design and innovation for a while you will begin to see the possibilities, and it will be an incredible journey into what is possible now and in the future. By delving into topics such as creation, energy, the cosmos and how our environment affects us all, you will see the future.

7. Changing the world

If it wasn’t hard enough coming up with new ideas or new thought, it is even harder to tell the world. You would think it would be easy to tell the world that outboard engines mix their carbon exhaust gasses with the water and that boats pollute the water just as cars pollute the air. You would think that, that would be an easy sell, but it isn’t.

Here is a new bike crank.

It makes peddling 20% easier by taking a standard 7 inch crankshaft, turning in a 14 inch circle, and changing that to a 5 inch crankshaft up and a 9 inch crankshaft down. This new crank is still turning in a 14 inch circle but the power stroke is 20% longer.

This is an excellent example of the fact that, just because an idea comes to mind, it does not mean it will be an easy sell. This idea is decades old and the world has yet to find it. We must make it easier for conceptual theorists to be heard.

8. Conceptual theory

As a conceptual theorist, the point is to produce original thought to make the world think about what there is to discover. Then it’s up to science to prove the theories right or wrong. As the conceptual theorist you are only interested in original thought. As a conceptual theorist’s view of the world is deliberately broad, focus is better left to science and mathematics. But that broad, holistic view is still required to find the idea in the first place.

It cannot be overstated enough, when the stakes are so high it is not okay to just say the theories are wrong. The point is to think about it and prove the theories are wrong and in the process, you just may prove them to be correct and wouldn’t that be great for the planet.

Much of what conceptual theory covers will be considered Interruption Technology and will disrupt many lives if proven to be correct, both monetary value and jobs may be lost. But don’t let that stop you, because the time has come for human interaction with our environment to turn a corner. We must plan for the next one thousand years.

9. Spreading the theory

It will be natural for people to challenge your theories and again that is the point. If we can replace carbon-based fuels that would be wonderful, just don’t challenge the messenger when there are economic and job losses. There are trillions of dollars worth of future economic development yet to be discovered and it all starts with conceiving original thought.

10. Simplicity in design

What is important here is to note the simplicity of the conceptual theory. This is a very important qualification as to whether an idea or concept will work. Both function and form must be in the correct balance. All of nature’s building blocks are simple in construction and that success is replicated over and over again.

Is water the next new fuel?

Is this a good design for a solar cell?

Hope you enjoy.
